Knights of Columbus

The Saint Malachy Council Soccer Challenge began under the passionate leadership of Dave Mueller from the St. Malachy Council.  Therefore, this annual event bears his name in honor of his efforts to make it so successful.  The Dave Mueller Memorial Soccer Challenge takes place early each Fall at one of the nearby parks with soccer facilities.  This is for people 9-14 years of age.

The Soccer Challenge is a great way to engage in the community with an athletic event for youth that encourages the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition.  Children demonstrate the most important skill in soccer – shooting accuracy on the penalty kick – and compete to reach the international level of competition. The program is also a way to introduce the Knights of Columbus as faithful family men in service to the community.
