Community Activities

St. Malachy Council is active in a wide variety of Community activities.  Among them, volunteers from this KofC council have helped build homes for Housing for Humanity. Annual fund raising drives have been held to support a Work Program for the handicapped. Additionally, volunteers do a variety of weekly projects for the aged by fixing various household problems, mowing and raking lawns, shoveling snow, etc.

Habitat for Humanity 2014

Although this KofC Council has participated in Habitat for Humanity projects for years, these photos are from projects taking place since this website began.  Although bitterly cold during some of these scheduled projects, the St. Malachy team seems to dig into their work with smiles and a good sense of humor.

The photos to the right represent a January 2016 excursion to Oxford, Ohio, to work on a couple Habitat for Humanity homes across the street from each other.  One required drywall within the framed structure, along with running electric cable to the junction box near the street.  The other house was still being framed within.

Even those participants with no construction experience or acumen were quite helpful throughout the day.
